Year 9 Fabric Technology

Course Description

The course is designed to give you the knowledge and skills to work safely with the equipment and develop independent practice. The context of sportswear will enable you to construct an item of your choice by using good quality sweatshirting fabric to complete this. The project will focus on research and design to develop your ideas and promote creativity. You will be able to personalise your product with the digital embroidery machine.

Students taking this subject must have covered shoes at all times and hair must be tied back. 

At the end of this course students will have completed a 'Sportswear' unit with a practical, workbook completion and evaluation of final product. All products created will be taken home.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Students taking this course will be required to pay a $20 course fee, to cover the cost of sweatshirting fabric and notions used in class.
