Course Description
Welcome to Digital Technology at Tuakau College, where innovation and creativity meet the endless possibilities of the digital world. We offer a wide range of interesting topics and skills that are in high demand today, such as coding, robotics, sustainable practices, and design.Throughout the Digital Technology journey, students also learn about the ethical and social implications of coding. They explore topics like cybersecurity, digital citizenship, and responsible use of technology, ensuring they are well-rounded digital citizens.
In Year 12, students take their coding skills to the next level. They explore advanced programming concepts such as data structures, recursion, and sorting algorithms. They develop more sophisticated applications and projects, applying their knowledge to tackle complex problems and optimize code efficiency. Examples of materials used: Code Avengers and Sphero.
