L2 Social Studies
Course Description
This NCEA Level 2 Social Studies course will focus on the following:
- Describe how communities and nations meet their responsibilities and exercise their rights in local, national, and global contexts.
- Describe a social action that enables communities and/or nations to meet responsibilities and exercise rights.
- To conduct a detailed social inquiry into a recent cultural conflict between people who want their country to be governed as a democracy and those who support the current system of dictatorship.
- Comprehensively describes their personal involvement in both the planning and execution of the social action, such as World Vision project on Climate Change and its effects on the small island nations in the Pacific.
