Course Description
Welcome to Digital Technology at Tuakau College, where innovation and creativity meet the endless possibilities of the digital world. We offer a wide range of interesting topics and skills that are in high demand today, such as coding, robotics, sustainable practices, and design.Throughout the Digital Technology journey, students also learn about the ethical and social implications of coding. They explore topics like cybersecurity, digital citizenship, and responsible use of technology, ensuring they are well-rounded digital citizens.
In Year 11, students focus on developing practical coding skills. They learn about algorithms, debugging, and software development methodologies. They apply their knowledge to create fully-functional programs, showcasing their ability to solve complex problems. Examples of materials used: Code Avengers and Sphero.

You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.
